THIS MORTAL STRUGGLE
By Rick Ardmore
In this mortal struggle,
Meaning may pass our grasp,
We with troubles wrestle,
And forget the need to ask.
Thus beaten down by doubt,
We question heaven’s hand.
In fear we block it out,
And grab the hand of man.
But, there is no place,
Whether sea or land,
Where there is no trace,
Of the creator’s hand.
